Baboon drawing

Along with the lion drawing, I’m drawing an african baboon. So far everything going well, but the detail of the hair is going to take me a long time to do.

I would love it if you would leave a comment and let me know what you think about this drawing, and if you have any tips that you can give me.

Stage 3 drawing the lion’s fur

I’m now at the stage where I am drawing the lion’s fur. I’m taking my time and trying not to rush it because I want it to turn out really good. After that all I need to do is the eyes and the snout. Again I would love to have feedback (positive or negative) so I know what you think.

Stage 2 of Lion drawing

The next stage to my lion drawing. So far this photograph has taken me much longer than I expected, but it’s my first animal drawing, so I want to do it properly.

Feel free to comment on this drawing, as I would love to know what you think. 😀

Low light photography

At this present moment I’m researching low lighting, so I thought that I would post a bunch of photographs that I found interesting.

Text for my Photograph

Last minute details for my exhibition, but I’m in two minds if I should include the text. I’ll decide when I hang up the photograph.

Michael Jackson Face-Lace

I love this photo of Michael Jackson, the lace on his face looks amazing!

Luke Smith: George

I believe we have arrived at a critical point within photography with what can only be described as a societal paranoia with the censoring of the child’s image. I believe if we are not careful we will contribute to a future of imagery without children present.

This piece of work is titled George which created the absence/loss of the child within the images. Each image has been constructed as an empty space with the trace of what took place.

This is my favourite project that I have seen so far, the ideas and how it has been carried out is brilliant.

Titles of my current project

The titles in this piece are really important, so important that I was planning to have the text and image together, but it wasn’t working out.
I chose to have these transfers instead of letrasets because I wanted something quick to put on the wall as I didn’t have much time.

Preview of current print

After doing much thinking I’ve decided that I’m going to mount my prints instead of framing them.
Here’s a preview of one of my prints.
