Baboon drawing

hannah_lewis_baboon

Along with the lion drawing, I’m drawing an african baboon. So far everything going well, but the detail of the hair is going to take me a long time to do.

I would love it if you would leave a comment and let me know what you think about this drawing, and if you have any tips that you can give me.

The 2013 Sony World Photography Exhibition

Last week visited the Sony World photography Exhibition at Somerset House and just like last year, I found the exhibition to be just as good. In the exhibition, each room covers a different category for example, people, Nature & Wildlife  and Landscape, so there are a variety of topics for people to enjoy.

There were lots of photographs this year that caught my attention, to the stories behind them and the power and beauty of the image. So I think that I might blog each artists name along with their work in another blog post.

Below are some photographs of the day.

“One Day in History” by Andrea Gjestvang was my favourite out of the whole exhibition. The images were very powerful as it portrayed the after effects of surviving the  2011 massacre on the Norwegian island of Ultøya.

Another photograph that I loved was Nenad Saljic’s “A Portrait of the Matterhorn”.
