Luke Smith: George

I believe we have arrived at a critical point within photography with what can only be described as a societal paranoia with the censoring of the child’s image. I believe if we are not careful we will contribute to a future of imagery without children present.

This piece of work is titled George which created the absence/loss of the child within the images. Each image has been constructed as an empty space with the trace of what took place.

This is my favourite project that I have seen so far, the ideas and how it has been carried out is brilliant.

  1. I was trying to figure out why the images had such a lonely feeling, until I arrived at the text. Very effective. Peace.
